10 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jan 22)

Ups...

10. Just Look At It

AEW

Dynamite's biggest USP heading into last night's show was, of course, the ship. What would it look like? How would AEW produce their weekly flagship without compromising on production? Would the crowd's noise filter through in this smaller open-air environment? Would bad weather come into play? How would AEW even fit a wrestling ring on the deck?!

It looked, sounded, and felt great, fortunately. "Beautiful" isn't the word, but "unique" most certainly is, as while last year's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea played host to wrestling as well, none of it was as cool as this. These aesthetics ruled.

Wrestling remains a visual business, even if such things aren't as important as they used to be, and it'd be cool to see AEW host shows like this and Bash at the Beach every couple of months. Give us a show in a cave, or something. Atop a mountain. Underwater. Go on.
