This is how you book IMPACT Wrestling.

Last night's episode was inarguably one of 2021's greatest. Sure, there were a total of four Downs, but no wrestling show is completely perfect from start to finish. IMPACT should know this better than anyone, given their history in the mid-2010s. For all we knew, there almost wasn't an IMPACT product today, which is just weird to think about.

You need only look at the thumbnail for this week's column to see why last night was a memorable episode. Violent By Design dethroned FinJuice of the World Tag Team Championships, which marked the IMPACT's first non-pay-per-view title switch since, funnily enough, Eric Young lifted the World Championship on 1 September. They mustn't happen often because then you get a genuine surprise when it does happen.

That this wasn't even the most noteworthy part of the show, however, speaks volumes.

You also had that intense promo between Moose, Kenny Omega, and Don Callis. Former Knockouts Tag Team Champions facing each other as Jordynne Grace wanted a friendly battle with Rachael Ellering. The announcement that New Japan star Satoshi Kojima is debuting for IMPACT next Thursday. More teases for Slammiversary that included Daniel Bryan. It was a momentous episode with a lot of ground to cover.

Let's get to it...
