10 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (20 May)

2. Alwayz Ready (For The Same)

IMPACT, we get the hint. Brian Myers doesn’t like Matt Cardona. It’s the story you’ve been shoving down our throats all year more or less, and aside from their Rebellion outing, it’s been a waste of time. It’s dire now.

Myers addressed the apparent Cardona situation that still existed, referencing his defeat of the former Zack Ryder at Rebellion and subsequent loss to him on the following IMPACT. That’s when he spotted Cardona. A needless beat-down occurred, with ‘The Most Professional Wrestler’ ripping off Cardona’s pendant. Radical.

So what? A match at Against All Odds? Or is this stretching all the way to 17 July at Slammiversary? Either way, it’s well past its expiry date. Anyone who still finds solace in this rivalry deserves praise, as do Myers and Cardona for finding a way to continue this rivalry week in and week out.

IMPACT’s creative team, however? In this instance, you must question them. There’s so much potential for Myers and Cardona to both succeed in the same company without having them aligned. Seriously wasted potential.
