10 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory 2021

5. Moose Calls His Shot

Moose lifted the third Call Your Shot trophy, last eliminating Matt Cardona to do so. At the time, this felt right, though he shouldn't have lifted the World Title in the same night. It wasn't the right time for such a moment.

In a change from the norm, this Call Your Shot gauntlet match was structured well. The timed intervals were snappy, preventing the match from stalling in places, while the actual spots were spaced out enough so as to not overshadow each other.

Of the most important moments in the match, Sam Beale would eliminate Brian Myers, though initially appeared to realign himself with the Learning Tree, Eddie and Alisha Edwards would target Moose and W. Morrissey with kendo sticks, with Moose later inadvertently smacking Morrissey with one of the sticks, and Madman Fulton reentered to hit an End Of Days on Chris Sabin after he'd ousted Ace Austin from the ring.

Once it was down to the final two, the ending was clear. IMPACT has built a potential megastar out of Moose this year, so his victory here was deserved. Again, IMPACT has put both him and themselves in a difficult situation by ruining the big coronation of Josh Alexander. He could have been a great World Champion for the company, but now he'll be plagued by the way he achieved that spot.
