10 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory 2021

4. Are You IInspired Yet?

An inevitable outcome, but the right one. The IInspiration capturing the Knockouts Tag Team Titles was the correct way to start Bound For Glory, kicking off with a huge moment that the majority of fans wished to see.

Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay impressed immensely throughout. Their antics worked perfectly against the monstrous Rosemary and Havok, with the former Billie Kay at one point flying towards the latter, only to fall flat. It's such a British camp show-esque spot, but owing to Lee's comedic style, it clicked. That the former IIconics were capable of backing this up with their body of work justifies them capturing the titles. Cassie's array of kicks was sublime, with her straight knee to Rosemary's head being genuinely brutal, while their new finish - an aided Powerbomb - is far better than their WWE tag finish.

It's worth noting that Rosemary and Havok served well as debut opponents for the IInspiration. They can always be trusted in these situations, and although Havok took a nasty landing on her leg at one stage, the Decay tandem were left looking strong.

There was no valid reason for them to retain the titles, though. The knockouts tag team division needed a fresh lick of paint. Moving forward, the IInspiration will bring the division back to where it needs to be.
