10 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 5)
5. Oblivious Moose Is The Best Moose
Whenever Moose can go on a microphone and say whatever, you know you're in for a treat, so his sitdown interview with Josh Mathews was obviously going to succeed.
'Mr Impact Wrestling' claimed that since he had the old TNA World Heavyweight Championship in his possession, then that made him the official champion in Impact Wrestling. That's how wrestling works these days apparently - you just have to retrieve a title out of an old warehouse to be classed as a champion nowadays. When he began to list off his accomplishments in Impact though, you can see why he's calling himself the real World Champion, seeing as he's defeated the likes of Rob Van Dam, Ken Shamrock, and Michael Elgin over the past few months. That's quite the collection of talent.
Moose is so oblivious to the fact he's not the official World Champion that he decided to remove himself from the upcoming number one contender's tournament, with Rohit Raju now replacing him against Trey. In fairness to him, he probably thinks it's a tournament to crown the next challenger for his title.
