10 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 5)

4. Big Beefy Boys

On paper, the team of Acey Romero and Larry D could come across as a pair of unathletic slobs, based solely on the fact that they're larger than your average wrestler. However, that couldn't be further from the truth. XXXL, as they're known as together, are a fantastic addition to Impact's flourishing tag team division.

They took the fight straight to Madman Fulton and Jake Crist, and while there were a few extremely minor incidents, these did nothing to detract from the match that was on offer. In particular, Larry D was on top form throughout, landing on his feet following a suicide dive to 'The Golden Draw' - something not often seen from a man of his stature. His finishing punch to the jaw, The Best Hand in the House as he calls it, is a nasty strike too, as both Jake and interfering brother Dave felt first-hand.

When Romero initially signed to Impact right before Bound For Glory, he just didn't fit in. His ability to send someone flying across the ring is a delight to the eyes, but he needed something a little extra. Larry D is that thing. They work brilliantly together, and it certainly helped they were against an already established group. Build them up a bit more, and XXXL could be one of Impact's biggest tag teams, both figuratively and literally.
