10 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 5)

1. Leave It In The Ring

Willie Mack is a gifted in-ring performer. That's a certainty. His promo skills on the other hand? Let's just say his time on the microphone should be extremely limited.

After Chris Bey finessed his way into an X Division Championship match later on in the broadcast, the newly-crowned champion stumbled his way through a response to his first challenger. Mack's first failure here came when he stated he didn't expect anyone to come after his title so quickly. Why would any champion ever believe this, particularly when it comes to a division full of talent such as the X division?

Secondly, 'Chocolate Thunder' claimed that 'The Ultimate Finesser' may find himself on the receiving end of something he doesn't want, that being Mack's boot connecting with him. Considering Bey inserted himself as the first challenger for Mack's title seconds beforehand, there's a strong chance he'll go through whatever it takes to get his hands on that championship.

Not exactly the worst promo of all time, but Willie is an extremely talented wrestler, so it's a shame to see him failing on the talking side of things, no matter how minor it may have been.
