10 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 5)

2. Still Swingin'

Essentially, a Johnny Swinger match will never not be a Down in these columns, unless there's a half-decent story going into it or his opponent(s) does something truly spectacular. 'The Swing Man' just isn't cutting it.

His match with Suicide was subpar, at best. Swinger was absurdly slow at all stages of the bout, using numerous wear down techniques in an attempt to keep 'The Masked Man of Mystery' off the ropes. His raking of the eyes was done to no avail, seeing as Suicide dons a mask, while his back suplex seemed ineffective. Swinger's far bigger than the former X Division Champion, so why did he struggle so much to lift the man off his feet?!

Suicide ended up winning with a fine Codebreaker and Swanton Bomb - the right victory, without any shadow of a doubt. If he has to be on television, then can Johnny Swinger please be restricted to non-wrestling roles?
