10 Ups & 6 Downs For WWE In 2023 (So Far)

5. Those Women’s Tag-Team Titles

Sure, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler just won the Women's Tag-Team Titles on Raw and definitely deserve the chance to make those belts mean something. That's an uphill battle though, because WWE's apathy towards the straps stinks to high heavens.

The division is blighted by too many teams that feel randomly shoved together 'cause creative has nothing for members individually, and the belts just come across as a weekly headache for writers. Liv Morgan's injury, as well as injuries to Ronda/Shayna, didn't help either.

Pointing to those as the sole reason(s) for failure would be an excuse.

Truthfully, fans don't give a damn about the Women's Tag belts. Why? Well, they've been conditioned to view them with the same eye-rolling response WWE staffers do. These titles will be on the wrong end of the year-end 'Ups & Downs' list too unless something radical happens.

Don't hold your breath.
