Both men had challenged for titles in the exact same building one year earlier, but Brutus Beefcake and Ted Dibiase were only opponents for the want of nothing else better to do at WrestleMania V.

'The Barber's year would improve exponentially following the 'Show Of Shows', with Hulk Hogan's friendship at long last extending to pay-per-view main events when the two took on Randy Savage and Zeus at SummerSlam. The same unfortunately couldn't be said for Dibiase, despite his worthy performance here and a character that hadn't particularly lost steam since he'd dropped down from the headline spot.

He did at least shake hands with Donald Trump this time around - Jesse Ventura's allusions to their relationship the prior year was played for laughs. The joke got less funnier by the year.
