10 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 11)

8. Two Weeks Later

Dustin Rhodes Jake Hager
AEW

That AEW decided to skip a week with the Dustin Rhodes vs. Jake Hager feud following the veteran's proclamation that he was out for the former Jack Swagger's blood is a shame, as it would've made more sense to deliver this brawl last week, particularly with Big Dust clashing with other Inner Circle members in the opener.

Regardless, it was good to see the duo getting their hands dirty on this shows. Hager's interference in The Young Bucks vs. Proud and Powerful could have been critical had Dustin not arrived to brawl him to the back, and this move should hopefully move Hager one step closer to his first AEW match. Finally.

The follow-up is critical, as Jake almost certainly has more to offer than he's allowed to show in his current role, but Dynamite delivered a step in the right direction.
