10 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 11)

7. Dinosaurs>Gods

Good grief, Luchasaurus vs. Sammy Guevara was fun.

A great speed vs. power/crafty little sh*t vs. big honourable beast clash played out with Chris Jericho and a silent Jake Hager on commentary, with the Inner Circle boys booting Excalibur and Tony Skee-A-Vone from their seats. 'Le Champion' was as entertaining as ever. "Luchasaurus is not a legit dinosaur and nobody can tell me otherwise," he said, though the action was as good as the accompaniment.

It's clear that AEW are protecting the hell out of Luchasaurus here. He was allowed to get most of his Cool Sh*t in against Sammy G, who behaved like a stupid little puke from the opening bell, eventually getting his comeuppance when Luchasaurus put him away in a shade under seven minutes.

Jericho's clarification that his upcoming match with Jungle Boy is non-title was welcome, too. Perhaps the excessive hand-wringing over its booking will subside now.
