10 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 11)

4. Direct Access (To Alex Reynolds') TV

Last night's Dark Order segment saw Evil Uno and his boys try to reach out to Alex Reynolds, whose AEW losing streak continued with a squash defeat to Jon Moxley. It was as well-produced and acted as ever, with the lead orator so convincing he had this writer mistakingly thinking he was watching a genuine commercial for a split-second, and targetting "losers" like Reynolds and partner John Silver makes sense, though the whole thing was undermined by one big question.

How did The Dark Order tap into Alex Reynolds' individual hotel room TV?

This week's WWE Backstage saw CM Punk question why so much dog food was conveniently stashed under the ring for Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown. Such matters should be brought up if we're to be asked to suspend our disbelief, particularly with AEW still trumpeting their "real-sport feel," elevating this above nitpick territory.

The Dark Order's rebirth has been well-played so far. Here's hoping they stay within the realms of possibility going forward.
