10 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Fight For The Fallen

3. A Boy And His Dinosaur Kill It... Then Lose For Some Reason

Look, your writer isn't saying that Justin Roberts called Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy "a boy and his dinosaur" made the three-way tag bout an automatic Up, but it definitely helped.

Fun moments were peppered throughout. Stu Grayson brought boatloads of fun offense despite his corny gimmick. Jack Evans and Angelico bickering over who'd have to face Luchasaurus was great, and the big bad dinosaur looked tremendous. Jungle Boy, meanwhile, is an instant jolt of adrenaline as soon as the hits the ring, and will almost certainly become a major star in this promotion. Evil Uno brought an impressive array of heel f*ckery to compliment his big beefy power moves.

It was laid out smartly, with the heels' extended control segment on Jungle Boy leaving the audience pining for a Luchasaurus tag. The hard-kicking dinosaur battered everyone in the match, bringing the whole building to its feet thereafter. He was cut off eventually, but the match succeeded in elevating his level of overness.

The only problem here is that the wrong team won. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy were so over compared to everyone else that AEW should've called the audible rather than having the Dark Order prevail to a muted response. Regardless, a strong match, and one that at least pushed every character forward.
