10 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Fight For The Fallen

5. Brandi's Flip-Flopping

Brandi Rhodes' benefitted immensely from her heartfelt Road To promo in her match with Allie. It was the first time the Chief Brand Officer had felt like a genuinely sympathetic, relatable figure in AEW, particularly as she described "the demons in my head telling me I can't do this," thus making it easier to see beyond her inexperience between the ropes.

It was a strong babyface setup... until Awesome Kong showed up.

The former TNA standout came out just as Allie was looking to tie up with Brandi, and now, suddenly, Brand is a heel again? Just... why?

AEW need to work on how their player/executives are positioned on the alignment scale. The problem isn't limited to Brandi, but her flip-flopping from apparent face to heel so flippantly highlights the issue. Something to work on for sure, as cool as it was to see Kong again.
