10 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2020

9. Props To The Glamazon

Early in her run in the Royal Rumble, Beth Phoenix was seated on the top rope brawling and lunged backward, only to smack her head on the ringpost.

The Glamazon stayed in the match – apparently not concussed – but she apparently cut the back of her head, and it only got worse as the match wore on. Phoenix’s blond hair was blood red by the end of the Rumble, when she was tossed second to last. She had an impressive run along the way, mixing it up with superstars and staying involved rather than laying in the ropes and milking the injury.

Remember, Phoenix is a retired Hall-of-Fame commentator for NXT. She’s not out there doing this every day, nor does she need to prove anything at this stage in her career. So her battling through a pretty bad-looking laceration with a decent amount of blood loss is a testament to her dedication.
