4. Boring Corbin Ends Angle’s Career

There’s the old expectation that a retiring wrestler pays it forward and goes out on his/her back, but when that happens, you hope it’s against a worthy opponent.

But that’s not what we got Sunday night. Kurt Angle’s in-ring career ended with a whimper as he lost to charisma vacuum Baron Corbin in about 6 minutes, because WWE. Seriously, you had Angle go through a farewell tour, defeating everyone in the month leading up to WrestleMania, only to have the reviled Corbin win.

And let’s be clear: Corbin isn’t reviled in the way that a top heel is. He’s hated for taking up airtime on television. And seeing someone undeserving getting the win over Angle in his final match is just a deflating moment.
