10 Ups And 14 Downs For WWE In 2015 (So Far)

6. Bella Twins€™ Inexplicable Dominance

For every comment that Nikki Bella has vastly improved her ringwork, there should be a follow-up question: Is Nikki better than Natalya? Paige? Naomi? Most of the NXT women€™s roster? That€™s not meant to demean Nikki. It€™s great that she takes more pride in her performance, but it€™s not like she€™s become one of the better wrestlers on the roster. She€™s just become more passable. But the real problem here is how the Bellas have been booked, switching almost weekly between faces and heels. If they had been consistently booked as heels, then Nikki€™s reign would be a little more bearable. Instead, the twins€™ act seems to be more about keeping them at the top of the division rather than building convincing characters for fans to get invested in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ2NF3asSaY What we have is a Divas€™ champ and her sister who fans don€™t know week to week whether they should boo or cheer. This also doesn€™t help their opponents, and thus the entire division suffers.
