10 Ups And 14 Downs For WWE In 2015 (So Far)

9. Tough To Watch

WWE€™s latest incarnation of Tough Enough just got started last month and still has plenty of programming to go, and while more episodes have aired, this list is only considering stuff that happened before July 1. That would mean the first two episodes of Tough Enough qualify. The weird hybrid style of the show €“ large parts are recorded, but the judging portion is live €“ is disjointed and doesn€™t work. The judges €“ Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and Paige €“ apparently only see what we see on TV, which is vastly different than every other incarnation, where the trainers are the judges. As far as we know, trainers Billy Gunn, Booker T and Lita have no input in who the bottom performers are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-B_qKpxSWc Then there€™s the host. Chris Jericho is awesome at almost everything he does. And he does his best in this situation, but unlike €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin before him, Jericho is only there to keep the show on track, not to confront the contestants or grill them about the business. One of the best parts about the 2011 edition of Tough Enough was Austin tearing into the contestants. Lastly, leaving the voting solely to the fans via Twitter is a kiss of death. Watch ZZ make it to the finals because fans find him €œfunny.€
