The Divas division has been one of the true low points in WWE this year, and one big contributing factor has to be having its most popular member depart suddenly. AJ Lees early April retirement meant that one of the most interesting, dynamic and capable female performers on the roster was gone, leaving a void that hasnt been filled since. AJ on top of the division meant energetic, entertaining promos and competent matches. Whether she was influenced by her husband or just naturally had the same spark, AJ wasnt afraid to speak her mind, dropping the infamous Pipe Bombshell on Raw and calling out Stephanie McMahon on Twitter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoYYRRGND6Q In her defense, AJ had accomplished everything she possibly could in WWE: three-time Divas champ, former GM and a major focus of WWE programming. There really wasnt much left for her to do other than collect title reigns and put on solid matches with upcoming NXT women like Charlotte and Sasha Banks.
