10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 10)

2. International Disaster

OK, maybe this isn’t a disaster of epic proportions, but WWE’s Odd Couple is going to get a tag title shot in the near future, and even teams are recognizing that Cesaro and Sheamus are not a cohesive unit… or as Kofi Kingston put it, “hot garbage.”

Considering that the SmackDown tag champs are a thrown-together team, you can’t think that this forced-together duo is destined to become Raw tag champs as well, right? It would do little to build up the tag division, unless some upstart team needed a big victory. But seeing how WWE is making note that New Day is just two months away from being the longest-running tag champs in WWE history, it seems like their reign will continue a little longer.

So right now, we’re left with Cesaro soaking in cheers and Sheamus getting booed. Maybe he’ll work to win over the fans as part of this tag team, but that might not work. This just feels like a failed experiment.
