10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 25)

1. A Universally Dumb Name

As predicted, with the WWE (World Heavyweight) Championship being exclusive to SmackDown, Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon and GM Mick Foley announced a new championship for WWE’s flagship show Monday night.

But instead of resurrecting the old World Heavyweight Championship – which many fans speculated was happening because of the name change with the current world title – they announced a completely new title: the WWE Universal Championship.

The WWE Universal Championship? Universal? Seriously? Is Stardust returning from the Cosmic Wasteland to compete for this title?

That is a supremely bad name for a title, regardless of whether it’s supposed to be homage to the fans (WWE Universe). Just an awful, almost laughable name for the new top title on Raw.
