6. Memory Lane Has Potholes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9caTcUXp9Vw Its great to see WWE acknowledging its own history as the company approaches the 29th installment of Survivor Series. Theres a lot of great moments that have taken place at Survivor Series throughout the years, so its only fitting that the next several episodes of Raw (and hopefully Smackdown) will feature clips from the previous years. Mondays segment highlighted the very first Survivor Series match, featuring teams captained by Randy Macho Man Savage and Honky Tonk Man, with Savage, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and Jake The Snake Roberts prevailing. But while that was the first Survivor Series match, it brought to mind the main event of this PPV, which involved the now verboten Hulk Hogan. In fact, Hogan featured prominently in the first five Survivor Series PPVs, including a very significant match that WWE likely would want to play up: The Undertakers first WWF Championship victory over Hogan at the 1991 Survivor Series. With Hogan being persona non grata these days, that could mean we could see some gaps in WWEs memory, which if it happens, would be a disappointment.
