10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 2nd)

5. Second Verse, Same As The First

When Alberto Del Rio answered John Cena€™s United States Championship Open Challenge, it was a legit surprise to many. His clean-as-a-sheet victory in less than eight minutes cannot be overstated and should have theoretically vaulted him to the top of the card. He then knocked off Neville and competed in a fatal fourway for the number one contender€™s spot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, though he didn€™t factor into the fall. That was a whirlwind 48 hours. Since then, he€™s beaten R-Truth twice. That is not meant to be a knock against R-Truth, but let€™s face it, Truth is not on anyone€™s radar as a threat to any title in WWE these days. He€™s good for pumping up the crowd, hitting a couple signature spots and then laying on his back looking up at the lights. (His 65.5% losing percentage in televised matches since 2014 would back that claim up.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIBkc8w8rVA Why is Del Rio wasting time with R-Truth right now? He beat him on Smackdown a few days ago, so why run the risk of overexposing Alberto by running him out there every program? It wouldn€™t have hurt to have him just appear in a backstage segment. If you€™re going to throw him out there, have him put Truth on the shelf or something like that. This just felt like a time-filler.
