10 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 18)

1. Cue The Clichéd Brawl

If it’s the go-home Raw before Survivor Series, you can count on a massive brawl with a bunch of colored T-shirts involved. It’s almost as constant as beer at a football game.

Sure enough, Raw ended with SmackDown wrestlers charging the ring and battling Raw superstars. But this time, NXT joined the fray, attacking everyone and leading to a disorienting, convoluted three-way brawl that ended with the black-and-yellow brand holding the ring.

Watching this, this writer couldn’t help but note that come next Monday, after Survivor Series, everything will carry on like nothing happened. That’s what always happens here. We spend a month hearing about how important “brand supremacy” is, one side wins, and then we all go on our way as if nothing happened 24 hours later.

It’s stupid. It’s pointless. And it shows no sign of stopping.
