3. The Feud Must Continue

If you had to name one feud that you didn’t want to see continue beyond SummerSlam, Kofi Kingston versus Randy Orton has to top that list.

However, it looks like we’re getting that return bout between the two. Orton once again wrestled a competent – if bland – match, while Kofi was all fired up, but the two just didn’t connect. The match was starting to build a little in intensity and looking like it was going to work out OK, but then…

…Both men were outside when the referee’s count hit 10, forcing a double count-out that led to the crowd booing the hell out of that finish. Kingston snapped and grabbed a kendo stick, waffling Orton over and over before hitting Trouble in Paradise, but by then, it was too late.

As a fan who remembers Kingston’s first big push and how quickly it dissipated, this writer would have loved to see Kofi at least win this match, even if he’s meant to eventually lose the title to Orton later. This was just a disappointing result.
