10 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 4)

6. Mic Time Would Help

Before the holidays, Titus O€™Neil and Stardust engaged in a silly backstage feud where Titus would show up in the Star Room to interrupt the Cosmic One€™s promos. It was goofy (not in a good way) and seemed to be leading to either a match or a partnership (in some weird mutual appreciation way). Monday, we finally got that match, but it was an €œalready in the ring€ bout, with Titus€™ entrance music playing. Things got started and they went through the motions of a fairly blasé match, with O€™Neil winning pretty convincingly. Not surprisingly, the crowd was mostly silent throughout, but you can€™t blame them for not remembering (or caring) about the weeks-old rivalry that had fallen by the wayside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNk5uUMwR_s This is where giving Stardust the mic beforehand to lecture Titus for invading his Star Room (as silly as that sounds) would have done some good. Cody Rhodes can handle the mic just fine, and he would have been able to remind fans of why they were having the match and brought things to a head. Instead, we were left to Byron Saxton to try to piece it all together €“ and one guess on how well that went.
