10 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 4)

Ups...

10. A Reason To Make Plans For Thursday

Kudos to WWE for not only repeatedly reminding fans of Smackdown€™s return to the USA Network on Thursday, but for announcing two title matches that had logical roots in what happened on Raw. There have been title matches on Smackdown before, but both the Intercontinental Championship match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens, and the Divas Championship match between Charlotte and Becky Lynch, were based almost entirely on the conflict between the pairs on Raw, making them natural continuations of the feuds. That€™s what Smackdown is supposed to be €“ a second WWE show advancing the same storylines €“ and hopefully this is reflective of what€™s to come and not just a one-time deal to hook viewers. Smackdown has been skippable for so long, maybe having some moments that make it must-see will help make it a can€™t-miss show.
