10 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 5)

6. Return Of The French Kiss

Of course, Zack Ryder€™s loss was the Miz€™s gain. And part of the Miz€™s gain was our gain as well, as his wife Maryse made her first return to a WWE ring in nearly five years. If you follow the former Divas Champion on Instagram, then you know that she€™s just as lovely as ever, so you couldn€™t be entirely surprised if she came back at some point.

Maryse got involved in the Intercontinental Championship match by slapping Zack Ryder€™s dad moments after he shoved the Miz to the ground. The slap provided enough of a distraction for Miz to hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on Ryder and win his fifth IC title. Maryse then got in the ring and celebrated with her husband.

This moment gets high marks for two reasons: 1) It€™s always an €œup€ to see Maryse on WWE TV, and 2) If Maryse is going to start serving as Miz€™s valet, it could be a serious way to make him into a bigger heel. Maryse has a good amount of charisma and can rile up the fans, which will only serve Miz well.

If this was a one-time deal, then that€™s disappointing.
