After winning their tag team tables match against the Usos, the Dudley Boyz hung around ringside for a bit before starting up the ramp. Suddenly, some familiar music played, and out paraded Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, collectively one of NXT€™s most beloved tag teams.

The New York duo hit the ring and Enzo grabbed a live mic, which is exactly what was needed in this situation. Enzo & Big Cass are a good in-ring team, but it€™s Enzo€™s mic work that really helps them connect with the fans. Amore ran down the Dudleys, saying they were so ugly €œtears run down the back of your head to avoid your face.€ He told Bubba that he should think twice, which is two more thoughts than he€™d had all day.

Eventually, the Dudleys were coaxed to return to ringside, only to walk out, prompting Cass to spell out what he thought of them.

This worked on several levels. Often times with debuts like this, we see what we got with Baron Corbin or Apollo Crews: a short match where the newcomer gets put over in some fashion. But Enzo & Cass are more known for their banter, and it€™s their personalities that really drive their popularity.

Having them come out and squash the Ascension would have done nothing for them compared to what happened. Fans who don€™t watch NXT now have some idea of what this brash duo stands for and what they can do on the mic.
