10 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 5)

3. Setting Up A Bitter Feud

It was mentioned in a previous column that the seven-man Intercontinental Championship ladder match should set up a singles feud between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. While that didn€™t directly happen and won€™t be for the IC title, it looks like these two best friends/bitter rivals will have a hellacious feud in the coming weeks and months.

Both men were named to compete in the fata four-way match to name a new #1 contender, but Owens had other plans for Zayn, powerbombing Sami through a table backstage shortly before the match. Since KO didn€™t win the #1 contender€™s match, it€™s safe to say he will have to deal with a pissed-off Zayn sometime soon.

The more these two continue to interact in interviews, backstage segments and other encounters, the more their feud continues to build. It would be nice if WWE would do a better job of tying in the NXT components of their rivalry, but things are shaping up pretty decently as is.
