Sasha Banks SummerSlam 2016 Women's Championship

Let’s put aside the possibility that Sasha Banks is injured or suspended for a wellness policy violation (as the rumor flew around Twitter). Let’s assume everything is relatively fine with Sasha, OK?

So why take the title off her this quickly? Her injury looked bad enough, and if it’s part of a storyline that she got injured and couldn’t hold onto the title, then you have a ready-made angle for Sasha to recuperate and come back to try to take back the title from Charlotte. If anything, it shows how evenly matched the two top women are and that either can win on any given night.

So yeah, assuming no injury or suspension (the other rumor that popped up was that Banks was going on her honeymoon, so this would allow her to take time off), this isn’t necessarily a bad booking decision. But if she is legit injured or suspended… *groan*. The only saving grace would be an injury that keeps her out for a month and then she can come back to resume her pursuit, weaving the injury into a storyline.
