8. Chinlock City
When you have a 12-man tag match, you should never resort to using a chinlock. If you’re confused about what to do next to wear down an opponent, just hand it off to one of your five tag partners.
But during the pre-show’s match between SmackDown’s six tag teams, Simon Gotch, Viktor and Tyler Breeze all in succession slapped a chinlock or headlock on Zack Ryder. (Breeze thankfully started mixing it up almost immediately.) The result was a crowd that was half-asleep before a frenzied breakdown brought the match to life.
Not all matches can be action-packed, five-star affairs. But when you’re talking about creating a new tag division and tag titles for your program, you probably should make sure the teams don’t actively bore the crowd during a showcase match.
