This one might require shifting some furniture around.

Despite regular live touring schedules, The Beast In The East special that aired on the WWE Network in July 2015 and Triple H's purported desire for expansion into Japan as recently as 2020, ongoing cost-cutting measures have taken their toll. Among the more recent casualties have been the dissolution of WWE Japan LLC and their respective website, which promoted expansion and live events in the country.

While this certainly creates a logistical snag for pulling a supercard together in Japan, perhaps WWE's retooled International Division could make something happen. Should the time come when WWE is able to return to the Far East for a large-scale event, the Kyocera Dome Osaka should top the list of considerations.

A Super Showdown or Crown Jewel populated by superstars who are proven crowd pleasers, trusted technicians or have attained mythological status for their time in Japan (AJ Styles, Finn Bálor, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, etc.) is a foolproof formula. Incorporating special appearances by Io Shirai and Kairi Sane, who took a position as a WWE ambassador and trainer in Japan to be closer to family certainly would be a welcome surprise. Lastly, making Osaka's own Asuka the centerpiece would launch this event into the stratosphere and get fans talking for all the right reasons.
