10 Venues Better Suited To Be Host For Future WWE Crown Jewels And Super Showdowns
8. Olympiastadion-Berlin, Germany
Capacity: 74,475
Just imagine the atmosphere of a WWE pay-per-view rolling into Berlin weeks removed from Oktoberfest.
Save for a small handful of supercardss, Network specials and NXT TakeOver: London in December 2015, WWE venturing outside The United States and Canada for much more than a live house show tour is an uncommon occurrence. A German junket for Super Showdown, Crown Jewel or both for a sold out Olympiastadion, whose attendance records would rival most WrestleManias, could yield a very satisfying lineup. If given the chance, it may even provide an opening for NXT UK to get some much-needed mainstream exposure, so maybe the show would be Worlds Collide.
Utilizing the likes of Cesaro (Lucerne, Switzerland-born and fluent in two German dialects), Sasha Banks and Shayna Baszler (German mother and father respectively) in key spots and Imperium (Marcel Barthel is a native of Hannover) as a special attraction would bolster whatever card WWE had assembled for Berlin quite nicely. Imperium taking on The Bloodline, or even just WALTER one-on-one with Roman Reigns (or anyone else, really) would be wunderbar.
