7. CM Punk Turns On Daniel Bryan

Gloriously sentimental without ever being saccharine, CM Punk's 2021 return has been loaded with an unfathomable amount of emotion from the man himself rather than fire from the 'Straight Edge Superstar' of old.

This, as with all things, will pass.

Punk's started a glorious journey working through younger talents to find his old self - a victory over Darby Allin was cautious in kayfabe and bold in reality, and the same will likely be the case for his trek through Team Taz over the next few months. By 2025, he'll be headed towards 50 with a four-year run under his belt. If we haven't had a dream heel run by then, expect it to come at fellow new signee Bryan Danielson's expense.

The two will always be linked for coming in together, but Bryan's wholesomeness will likely ensure his spot as the villain of this particular piece. Punk finding his rage again may not be as real as his 2013/14 fury, but tapping into that emotional well should help him find his darkest self for the good of the cause.
