Steve Austin
AEW

As of 2021, Hangman Page remains an elusive figure on the verge of an incredible ascension to AEW's top spot.

But four years removed, can he realistically expected to be in the same spot?

Wrestling moves faster than most promoters have proven able to keep up with, but Tony Khan hasn't yet found himself tarred with the "most promoters" brush. He'll surely know that Page's run with the title need only be short to get the most out of his epic journey, not least because it'll put an ungodly amount of heat on the heel that defeats him.

But Page is the character that really lives through his on screen experiences. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks could well be on the bright side of the divide by then, allowing Page to don his black hat as part of their forever conflict.

And he needn't be the only one headed in that direction...
