10 Very Rare Brock Lesnar Matches You Have To See
9. Sheamus (Jan 8, 2016)
The second of those three house show dates came at the start
of 2016, and saw Lesnar return to compete in Houston, TX, for only the
second time in his career.
There, he would meet Sheamus in one-on-one competition — another member of the League of Nations and another performer that he’d previously never been up against.
Like the Del Rio clash, it was a refreshing match-up and one that certainly benefitted from the fact that Sheamus actually got some offense in. Some clubbing blows had Lesnar dazed, and there were even a couple of two counts scored amongst a flurry of signatures and Brogue Kicks.
There was also an awesome power spot in which Sheamus literally bounced off Lesnar after a silly attempt at a clothesline. Ultimately, though, this was never going to finish with anything other than a victory for Lesnar. By the end of the night, he’d taken the suplex count into double figures before scoring the pin off the F5.
While the situation was similar to the Del Rio encounter, this was actually a far better match and one that I personally wouldn’t mind seeing on a much more public stage.
