10 Very Rare Brock Lesnar Matches You Have To See

8. Rusev (Feb 6, 2016)

And last but not least, Lesnar wrapped up his mini-tour of the League of Nations with a showdown with Rusev in San José, CA in February earlier this year.

This match was actually the shortest of the lot. In fact, at just shy of two and a half minutes, Paul Heyman’s brilliant introduction was almost equally as long. It was still a fairly fun watch though, with Rusev — like Sheamus — actually getting in some stiff offense until Lesnar snapped into action.

Eventually he took the suplex count to a very modest four, before unleashing on Rusev a monstrous F5 to keep him down for the count.

After the match, some rambling from Lana clearly rubbed Brock the wrong way, prompting him to march back down to the ring and dish out another F5 for good measure. On Rusev, of course, not Lana.

Again, the novelty of the opponent made this a decent watch, despite its relative brevity. And we still saw enough to suggest that a televised rematch could be quite an intriguing affair. Unfortunately, though, Lesnar vs Rusev isn’t quite the mainstream draw the WWE is after, so this will likely be the one and only time these two bruisers go at it.
