10 Very Rare Brock Lesnar Matches You Have To See
6. The Undertaker (Sep 20, 2003)
As far as storied rivalries go, they don’t get much bigger than
the Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar.
From their 2003 series for the Undisputed title, to the Streak-conquering performance at WrestleMania XXX, and right through to their rematch at SummerSlam last year, much has been of the many great matches they’ve had against one another.
But one of the lesser known Undertaker vs. Lesnar showdowns came at a Madison Square Garden house show from back in 2003. There, the two legends met in a steel cage match for Lesnar’s Undisputed title — not a bad billing for a house show.
All in all, the match went about 18 minutes, and even included a cameo from Vince McMahon. He came out to cost Undertaker the victory, slamming the cage door in the Deadman’s face. But he soon ended up regretting his decision when he was dragged into the cage and took an inadvertent clothesline from Lesnar.
Ultimately, it was Lesnar who escaped the cage first after a
neck-and-neck climb for the finish, but Undertaker didn’t let him leave
unscathed; hitting a Tombstone after the match was done to send the New York crowd
home happy.
