10 Ways NXT Is Making WWE Look Bad

1. No McMahon Involvement

WWE.comWWE.comThe one way NXT makes WWE look absolutely terrible is the lack of McMahon involvement with the product. For years, WWE has reminded fans that Vince McMahon is a visionary, a genius that created the Rock and Wrestling Era and starred as the most hated villain in the sport during the Attitude Era. He is touted as the savior of professional wrestling and the man responsible for everything we see today, even if the product has not necessarily been at its peak over the last decade. So it is refreshing to see a show under the WWE umbrella that he has absolutely nothing to do with succeed to the point that it has. There will always be an anti-Triple H sentiment thanks to the suspected backstage politics he has played throughout his career, not to mention the fact that he married the beautiful Stephanie McMahon and killed millions of teen and young adult fantasies of one day marrying the boss' daughter. At the same time, it is hard to deny the effect he has had on WWE's developmental brand. It is better right now than it has been since Jim Cornette ran Ohio Valley Wrestling back at the turn of the century. The COO of WWE works extremely hard to ensure the future of the industry and he does that by booking a great show, spotlighting the stars he feels are ready and have potential to be major players for the company one day and giving them the exposure necessary to connect with audiences. McMahon does not have the patience at this point in his life to develop new talent and let them become the stars they have the potential to be. Triple H does and NXT is much better off for having him. Years from now, WWE will be, too, regardless of the opinions most have about the man affectionately known as The Game.
