10 Ways The Move To TV Has Ruined WWE NXT

1. The Wednesday Night War

BALOR NXT
AEW

The Wednesday Night War has done nothing to help either NXT, or AEW Dynamite.

This is the sort of thing that worked back in the day, but has no place in today's landscape. The thought that whoever gets the most viewers or the highest rating automatically makes them the better show is nonsense. It's a number that looks good on paper for sure, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're the superior Wednesday night show.

What if more people tuned into Dynamite because the previous show had been excellent, only for the episode to be a weak one? It would still be recognised as the highest-rated show, but it wouldn't be the greatest show unless NXT also provided a weak episode.

It's worth pointing out that there have been some good things to come from the war, particularly in that time period when Dynamite first began last October, and the number of people watching wrestling on a Wednesday is always admirable, but overall, the thought process that numbers are all that matter needs to be left behind.

Just enjoy what you want to enjoy. If one show receives more viewers than the other, you shouldn't be inclined to watch just that.
