10 Ways The WWE Title Can Rebuild Its Tarnished Legacy
1. Have It Headline WrestleMania 34
Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is going to headline WrestleMania 34. This has been WWE's plan for months, and barring a major rewrite, it's highly likely that the show will close with 'The Big Dog' triumphantly raising the Universal Title above his head, while a sold out New Orleans Superdome showers him with hatred.
There's little hope of WWE taking a different route, and no reason to believe that this isn't already set in stone. Regardless, replacing Lesnar vs. Reigns with a WWE Title match would go a long way towards restoring the belt's lost prestige, making it feel important again, and placing it back at the top of the company's pecking order.
Such a move would necessitate an epic, blockbuster match. If John Cena's around, he's the right man for the job. WWE could easily pair him up with someone like AJ Styles or Shinsuke Nakamura to close the year's biggest show, and they'd likely produce a bout befitting such a spotlight. Regardless, anything would be an improvement on last year's Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt debacle, so while WWE would need to be careful about putting the right guy over (Cena wouldn't go down well), success should be straightforward.
