10 Ways TNA Can Get Fans To Again "Cross the Line"

7. Unify The TV And X-Division Titles

TNA X Division Belt 2013

The X Division was on the way to becoming the pinnacle of sports entertainment at one point and actually made wrestling interesting again during the dark days of the WWE product. But after the infamous re-branding of 2010 it is truly a disgrace as to what the once iconic face of the TNA brand has become.

It was basically reduced to a completely unnecessary light heavyweight division. No, it never compared to the Cruiserweight division of WCW in this state so I will not be comparing it to that. I hear nowadays they are trying to rectify the situation but the damage has been done I am sorry. Lets forget the fact that a Cruiserweight division in this day and age is outdated considering the majority of modern day top card superstars are in fact in this class.

The X Division had and was everything that the WWE wasn't and diluting it the way they did has reduced it to nothing more than an afterthought. Time to restore the division to its former glory and the only way I can see that happening In my eyes is a re-unification tournament with a "heavyweight" championship. Namely, the almost pointless TNA Television title.

Okay, when Booker T introduced it as the "Legends" championship it was a pretty good gimmick, I myself got right into it. But it should have been left at that, a gimmick. In all honesty the now Television title really should have never been recognized in the first place, but what has been done is done and it's time for unification. I mean, does TNA really need a "Television" title if the X Division reverts back to the old adage of "it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits?"

Anyone remember Unbreakable 2005? Now THAT is pretty much the only example I need for my reasoning as to why the X Division needs to make a serious return in the shape of title unification with the Television Championship. As changing the rules randomly on any given day (as they apparently have recently) is just a cop out.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
