10 Ways TNA/Impact Was Great For The Wrestling Business

1. Pushing Boundaries

TNA Six Sided Ring
TNA

Professional wrestling hasn't been pushing limits this much since the Attitude Era, and we just may have to thank TNA for that.

Think about it: what other company was ballsy enough to try something as ridiculous as 'Broken' Matt Hardy? Who else would've shaken up the system by doing the unthinkable and challenging Raw directly on Monday Nights? Call these a mistake and a stroke of dumb luck respectively, but you can't say TNA didn't try to push the boundaries of what wrestling companies can and would do. Hell, we're talking about the company that implemented a six-sided ring. In many regards, this ability to push boundaries held influence.

Other companies weren't trying unique ideas at a rapid rate until TNA made it fashionable. While it admittedly didn't always work out in TNA's favor, it did inspire the rest of the group to follow in their lead and vary up their product a bit more.

We consider it a noble sacrifice.
