10 Ways To Re-Brand WWE SmackDown

2. Make The Intercontinental Championship Exclusive To SmackDown

You probably saw this pick coming but I'm backing Daniel Bryan and Ryback with this one, making the Intercontinental Title exclusive to SmackDown does two things: firstly, it gets it away from the eyes of Vince McMahon so maybe it can become important again and secondly, it means whoever the champion is, they can become exclusive to that show and be an asset to it. If Dean Ambrose is the IC champ, then you have to tune in on Thursday nights to see him compete. Having the championship only defended on Friday nights allows a lot of possibilities like tournaments to crown a number one contender or maybe even a points style system for getting to the top in order to earn a title shot. The title used to be prestigious and a lot of today's superstars remember it as such from Mr Perfect and Bret Hart to Randy Savage and The Rock, all holding the gold and making it meaningful. The Intercontinental title has a better chance of keeping it's importance by being exclusive to SmackDown than it does of meandering around in it's current form.
