10 Ways To Repackage WWE's Struggling Wrestlers

1. Dean Ambrose: Smart, Psychological Heel

Though he certainly isn't struggling for airtime, Dean Ambrose's character isn't in a good place at the moment. He was legitimately one of the company's most compelling acts during The Shield's run, and while Roman Reigns had the size and Seth Rollins the eye-catching moveset, Dean always felt like the group's most natural star, but his character hasn't panned out that way.

Ambrose has had plenty of memorable moments since The Shield imploded, but his gimmick stinks. WWE would love to have you believe that Dean is an unhinged Brian Pillman-esque loose cannon, but he's often nothing more than a goofy prop comic, and no longer feels like a white-hot babyface commodity.

A heel turn is long overdue, and WWE could use his ongoing storyline with Rollins to pull the trigger. Having 'The Lunatic Fringe' snap on 'The Kingslayer' can provide the impetus to bring Ambrose's character back to something resembling his old Shield persona, when he was a dangerous, calculating villain, often summoning shades of Jake 'The Snake' Roberts. It's a character type that's sorely lacking on Raw at the moment, and given Dean's previous success in the role, there's little doubt this repackaging would work.
