10 Ways To Repackage WWE's Struggling Wrestlers

2. Lana: Return To Management

Regardless of whatever WWE are trying to do with Lana at the moment, it isn't working. 'The Ravishing Russian' was drawing significant crowd reactions during the formative stages of her reinvention as a wrestler, but she has done nothing but lose in increasingly humiliating fashion ever since, and nobody cares anymore.

Her latest repackaging is only a few months old, but it's time to throw it on the scrapheap. This would effectively mean a stubbornly proud company admitting their own mistake, which WWE don't exactly have a long history of doing, but there's little point in persisting with this failed angle anymore.

Lana was tremendous in her previous role as Rusev's manager, and while giving her a shot as a wrestler was probably worth a try, the experiment has failed. Can she be a successful in-ring competitor in the future? Sure, but her flaws are many, and she still needs a lot of work before she goes back to primetime television.

'The Ravishing Russian' must ditch the dancing and get serious again. She's an excellent talker and a strong character, and WWE would be wise to play to those strengths rather than accentuating her weaknesses between the ropes.
