10 Ways To Repackage WWE's Struggling Wrestlers

5. The Ascension: Surf Dudes With Attitudes

The Ascension's current role as peripheral figures in the Fashion Files is the best thing Konnor and Viktor have ever done on the main roster. They've been largely useless since graduating from NXT, and WWE have given the fans no reason to care about them on the main roster, having completely failed to come up with regular angles and storylines for the record-breaking developmental Tag Team Champions.

Nobody's ever going to take the duo seriously in their currently pseudo-Illuminati, power and paint roles. It's time to throw that gimmick in the trash, reconsider their place in the company, and bring their Southpaw Regional Wrestling act to primetime television.

Konnor and Viktor showed more personality in their 20 seconds as the Surf Dudes With Attitude than they have throughout the rest of their run combined, Fashion Files aside. WWE comedy gimmicks tend to veer towards WrestleCrap territory before long, but Breezango's success proves that they can still work if presented correctly, and it's not like playing serious heels is doing anything for The Ascension anyway. It'd anchor the duo in the lower-card for the rest of their run, but at least they'd be entertaining.
